In a continuation of their heinous crimes against innocent civilians, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its extremist backers from the former regime launched further indiscriminate airstrikes today against the local populace in the areas of Al-Kuma and Jebel Amir in North Darfur State. They also bombed the bustling Kandahar market west of Omdurman and the Karor market in Ombada.

These barbaric attacks resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians, including women and children. The use of barrel bombs has wrought massive destruction on residential homes and shops, leaving behind scenes of unspeakable horror and tragedy.

Driven by the corrupt and terrorist ideology of the Islamic Movement, the SAF and its extremist patrons from the former regime continue their relentless onslaughts with utter disregard for the consequences of their actions and in blatant defiance of international and humanitarian law. This escalation signifies a new depth of hostility and vengeance against innocent civilians.

History will never forget the atrocities committed by these terrorist forces. Their deliberate targeting of unarmed civilians, destruction of public and private property, and massacre of thousands of innocent lives are unforgivable crimes, for which we guarantee they will be held to account.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) strongly condemns these war crimes. We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to eradicating from our country once and for all these terrorists from the former regime. We will liberate our nation from the clutches of these criminals, paving the way for a democratic system that fulfills the legitimate aspirations of the Sudanese people, anchored in the principles of freedom, peace, and justice.
